Debora Quadrelli

Debora Quadrelli received her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 2020 and her M.Sc. in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering in 2023 from Politecnico di Milano. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Robotics and Intelligent Machines (DRIM) at the Rehab Technologies Lab of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Genoa. Her work revolves around multimodal bidirectional interfaces for patient-in-the-loop control of assistive robotic devices, with a focus on biological signal processing, myoelectric control of prosthetic systems, and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation.

Pietro Di Bello

Pietro Di Bello received his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering in 2021 from Politecnico di Torino. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Robotics at the Rehab Technologies Lab of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genoa. His research revolves around Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), with a specific focus on developing methodologies to integrate patient-driven inputs and user intention into the control loops of FES delivery. Furthermore, his core areas of research encompass human movement analysis, clinical motor assessment, and the biosignals data fusion.

Meet Our Lab

Rehab Technologies Lab was born from an agreement between IIT and INAIL. Since 2013, the lab has been active in the development of high-tech prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitative medical devices, ready for immediate use in therapeutic rehabilitation and treatment paths.

The laboratory pursues innovation through research, with the ambitious goal of combining robotics and neuroscience. The human being is always at the center of every technological idea and the approach to innovation is based on data and performance, in order to continuously improve. The projects developed combine a high technological level with a high social impact.
